Registration is first-come, first-serve, and camp capacity is capped at 20 campers per week. Camps cost $150 per week per camper. Scholarships are available. Contact Danni Care at dcare@carlisleywca.flywheelstaging.com or (717) 243-3818 for more information. Please send forms electronically to the address above or mail to: YWCA, 301 G Street, Carlisle, PA 17013. Drop-off time for camp is between 8:00 – 8:15 AM and pick up is between 3:00 – 3:15 PM. A description of each camp week’s theme can be found below.

Week Descriptions

Week 1: Sports Exploration (ages 6-12) Trying a new sport can be intimidating! We will provide a safe, supportive environment to introduce beginners to a variety of sports such as tennis, basketball, dance, bowling, and more. We will have two trips to the local pool.

Week 2: Dungeons and Dragons (ages 13-17) Join us for a week of all things Dungeons and Dragons! Campers aged 13 to 17 will learn how to create characters, design maps, build campaigns, and so much more. No experience necessary. This camp will include field trips to local game stores and cafes, as well as a trip to the local pool.

Week 3: Dungeons and Dragons (ages 9-12) Join us for a week of all things Dungeons and Dragons! Campers aged 9 to 12 will learn how to create characters, design maps, build campaigns, and so much more. No experience necessary. This camp will include field trips to local game stores and cafes, as well as a trip to the local pool.

Week 4: Party in the USA (ages 6-12) Join us in celebrating all things America! We will create patriotic arts and crafts, play games, and learn about all the things that make Pennsylvania great. We will even get to meet some of our community’s superheroes! The week finishes with a trip to the local pool.

Week 5: Eco Adventure (ages 6-12) Love to be outdoors? Join us on our eco adventure! We will be learning about plants, flowers, fungi, trees, animals, and so much more. In addition to learning, we will get to celebrate our love of the planet by creating arts and crafts and advocating for our environment. There will be several field trips and nature walks, as well as two trips to the local pool.

Week 6: All Around the World (ages 6-12) Get ready to go on an exciting adventure around the world! Each day, we will explore new countries and cultures through art, storytelling, food, language, and fun. We will take two trips to the pool, too.

Week 7: Artful Antics (ages 6-12) Let’s get creative! Join us as we delve into various forms of artistic expression, develop artistic skills, and unleash creativity. Campers will engage in hands-on activities, collaborate with peers, and gain confidence in their artistic abilities. We will also go on local field trips, meet with art professionals, and take two trips to the local pool. We plan to end our artful week by hosting a gallery of the works of art created at this fun-filled camp!

Week 8: Camp Imagination (ages 6-12) Join us as we explore our imaginations! Go with us as we create art and participate in fun activities and games based on the worlds of Harry Potter, Marvel, Disney, Nickelodeon, and Super Mario. We will take two trips to the local pool.

Scholarship Guidlines:

Assistance is granted on a week-to-week basis

No child will receive a scholarship for the entire summer program

Tuition assistance is dependent upon funding availability and is subject to change.

PLEASE NOTE: If YWCA is not able to provide assistance for the entire weekly amount, you may be asked to contribute a partial payment of:
